On November 25, 2022 (Friday) at 11:00 a.m., in the "Triaditsa" hall in the Grand Hotel "Sofia", a closing conference will be held on the project "Building capacity and improving the services of CERT Bulgaria (CBSEC-BG), number 2018-BG-IA-0114.
The project "Capacity Building and Services Enhancement of CERT Bulgaria" (CBSEC-BG) is implemented according to contract No. INEA/CEF/ICT/A2018/1801024 for the provision of grant-in-aid under procedure CEF-TC-2018-3.
The implementation of the project led to an increase in the capacity of CERT Bulgaria (the National Computer Security Incident Response Team), both by providing the necessary technical tools and by increasing the team's qualifications, knowledge and skills to respond to challenges in the field of cyber security.
As a result of the project, the requirements of Directive 2016/1148 of the European Parliament and of the Council on measures for a high general level of security of networks and information systems in the Union and of the Law on Cybersecurity of the Republic of Bulgaria have been met.
The main activities carried out within the project are:
– Construction of a center for national and international exercises in the field of cyber security;
– Construction of a laboratory for the analysis of malicious software;
– Construction of a forensic laboratory;
– Building a National Network of Computer Security Incident Response Teams to share information on cybersecurity risks, threats and vulnerabilities;
– Joining the core services platform of the European Cyber Security Incident Response Teams Network (MeliCERTes Core Services Platform) for international cooperation in the field of cyber security;
– Development of a system for monitoring and storage of materials related to network and information security.

Total value of the project: 1,298,495 euros, of which 973,872 euros from the European Commission and 324,623 euros national co-financing.
Implementation period: 24 months
